Butterfly (acrostic)

An acrostic is a poetry form where the first letter of each line spells a word – the poem title. I have also made each line the same number of syllables.

This poem is from Voices of Nature, a collaboration with Kirsten A.

Black and orange wings
Utter nary a word;
Teaching sensitivity and tenderness,
Treating simplicity through complexity.
Every flutter so gentle
Resting peacefully on milkweed.
Flights of gossamer wings,
Luminous flights of fancy.
Yearly visits bless us.
